Review guidelines

Every review here comes from a verified user and follows the same rules. Here's what we publish, what we don't, and how verification works.

Writing a review that helps someone

  • Say what you used it for. "We run a 6-person HVAC crew and use it for dispatch and invoicing" tells a reader whether your experience applies to them.
  • Be specific. "Reporting is weak" is an opinion. "You can't filter the pipeline report by rep without the Pro plan" is something a buyer can check.
  • Cover both sides. The most useful reviews name what works and what doesn't, even when the rating is 5 stars or 1.
  • Keep it current. Review the version you use now. If a complaint was fixed in a later release, say so.
  • Rate the product, not the sales call. Support quality counts; a pushy demo doesn't.

Reviews need at least a couple of sentences. The role, industry, company size and tenure fields are optional but they're what make a review useful, and they're shown without your name.

How verification works

  1. You submit the review with a work email. The email is never published or shown to the vendor.
  2. We check that the email's domain belongs to a real organization (not a disposable address) and that it isn't the vendor's own domain or a known competitor.
  3. We may ask you to reply to a short confirmation email, or to confirm a detail only a user would know, such as which plan you're on.
  4. Once verified, the review publishes with the ✓ Verified user mark and starts counting toward the product's rating. Unverified reviews never publish and never count.

Most reviews are verified within 2–3 business days. If yours has taken longer than a week, tell us.

What gets rejected

  • Reviews from vendor employees, contractors, resellers, investors or competitors, including through family or agencies.
  • Incentivized reviews: anything written for a gift card, discount, extended trial, contest entry or any other consideration, from the vendor or anyone else.
  • Duplicate reviews of the same product from the same person or organization.
  • Reviews that are mostly about pricing negotiations, a single support ticket, or a product the reviewer hasn't actually used.
  • Personal attacks, naming of individual employees, profanity, or confidential information.
  • Text that appears to be generated, copied from elsewhere, or part of a coordinated campaign.

We also watch for bursts of reviews with the same pattern and may pause publication for a product while we check. Vendors who solicit fake reviews lose any paid placement and are noted on their profile.

If you're a vendor

You can ask your customers to review you here. You may not pay them, offer anything of value, pre-screen who gets the link, or write it for them. You can respond publicly to reviews once your profile is claimed, and you can flag a review you believe breaks these rules; we re-check it and decide. We don't remove reviews for being negative.

Editing or removing your review

To update or delete a review you wrote, contact us from the email you used. We'll confirm it's you and make the change. Deleting a review also removes it from the product's rating.
