Bottom line

Keeper Business Password Manager is a zero-knowledge password vault that gives IT teams shared folders, admin policy controls, directory sync and audit-ready reporting. Its clearest strength is the depth of its security and compliance listings, which span government, healthcare, payment and privacy frameworks. The main cost to watch is that there is no free plan, and reporting, file storage and monitoring are sold as add-ons. Teams that need a managed password vault with SSO and provisioning should evaluate it first, while buyers who need full privileged session control will need the separate KeeperPAM product.

Choose Keeper Business Password Manager ifmid-size teams standardizing password sharing, or enterprises that need SSO and SCIM provisioning.
Look elsewhere ifindividuals who want a free plan, or buyers who need privileged session recording and Just-in-Time access.

What is Keeper Business Password Manager?

Keeper Business Password Manager is a cloud-hosted password manager that lets organizations store, generate, share and audit employee credentials in encrypted vaults. It addresses the risk of passwords kept in spreadsheets, chat messages and loose browser profiles by placing each credential in a zero-knowledge vault that only the account holder can decrypt. Keeper Security, Inc. offers it alongside its privileged access management platform.

Employees unlock their vault with a master password, or with biometrics such as Windows Hello, Touch ID or Face ID, then use the browser extension to autofill logins and passkeys. Team folders with granular edit, share and ownership permissions control which records each group can see, and records can self-destruct after a set number of views or days. Administrators manage users, roles, vault policies and password requirements from a central Admin Console, and they can sync users and groups from Active Directory, LDAP or Microsoft Entra ID. Offboarding is handled by transferring a departing employee's vault to another user.

The product serves small businesses, mid-size companies and enterprises, and it is used by more than 100,000 business customers in over 150 countries. Pricing starts at $2 per user per month, and a free trial is available, but there is no free plan. Add-ons such as Dark Web Monitoring, Secure File Storage, Advanced Reporting & Alerts, Compliance Reporting and Concierge Service are offered separately.

What sets the product apart is the breadth of its security and compliance claims. Keeper describes a zero-knowledge and zero-trust architecture that encrypts data at the device and record level, and it lists FedRAMP High and GovRAMP High authorization, FIPS 140-3 validation, ISO 27001, 27017 and 27018, SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, PCI DSS Level 1 and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance. The platform also includes a Commander command-line tool, SCIM 2.0 provisioning and RESTful APIs for developers.
