Bottom line

RoboForm is a password manager that stores, generates, and autofills credentials, and it bundles a TOTP authenticator and passkey management into the same vault. Its clearest strength is the zero-knowledge design combined with team admin controls such as SSO, SCIM, role-based access, and audit logs. The main costs to watch are the single-device limit on the Free plan and Business pricing, which is not given on the site. It suits individuals, families, and small to mid-size teams that want one tool for passwords and one-time codes.

Choose RoboForm ifindividuals who want one vault for passwords and one-time codes, or families sharing Premium protection.
Look elsewhere ifusers who need free multi-device sync, or teams that need published Business pricing before a trial.

What is RoboForm?

RoboForm is a password manager that stores login credentials in an encrypted vault, generates strong passwords, and fills logins and online forms with a single click. It addresses the problem of reused or weak passwords and the time spent typing credentials across many accounts. RoboForm was first released in 2000, and it is offered by Siber Systems, Inc. of Fairfax, Virginia.

Day to day, the password generator creates a unique password for each site and saves it during signup. Autofill signs users into websites, and the built-in TOTP authenticator stores one-time codes for third-party portals, so one app holds both passwords and verification codes. Data Breach Monitoring checks up to five email addresses for exposure and suggests steps to secure accounts when a breach is found. Users can unlock the vault with a passkey verified by face, fingerprint, or device PIN, and can add second factors that include passkeys, trusted devices, hardware security keys, email, SMS, and authenticator apps. Existing passwords can be imported from browsers, other password managers, or a CSV file.

Individuals, families, and businesses use RoboForm, and the vendor names freelancers, small businesses, mid-size businesses, and enterprises as typical customers. The Free plan covers unlimited passwords on a single device at $0. Premium costs $2.49 per month billed annually and renews at $29.88 per year after the first year. Family covers five Premium accounts at $3.98 per month and renews at $47.75 per year. Business teams can start a free trial with no credit card required, and every Business user receives a Family plan with up to five personal accounts.

What sets RoboForm apart from browser-based password managers is the combination of a consumer vault with team administration. Admins can require 2FA and strong password rules, assign role-based access, and provision users through single sign-on with Microsoft Entra, Okta, Google Workspace, Ping, or OneLogin using SCIM. Exportable audit logs and compliance reports show who accessed which credentials. RoboForm uses a zero-knowledge design in which AES-256 encryption with PBKDF2-SHA256 runs on the user's device, so RoboForm cannot read the Master Password.
