SignRequest review
Bottom line
SignRequest is a browser-based e-signature tool that produces signing logs, hash-verified documents and ISO 27001-certified data handling at a low monthly price. Its clearest strength is the €9 Professional plan, which covers unlimited documents for a single user. The main limits are that the five-user cap and five-template cap on Professional push teams toward Business at €15, and bulk sending, the API and single sign-on sit only on that higher tier. It suits freelancers and small teams that need legally sound signatures without an enterprise contract.
What is SignRequest?
SignRequest is a web-based electronic signature service for sending, signing and storing contracts and other documents. It replaces the cycle of printing, signing, scanning, returning and filing paper forms, letting senders collect signatures from any device. Each completed document is accompanied by a signing log and sealed with the company's digital certificate, so the signed file can be checked later.
A sender uploads a document, places signature fields, and chooses the signing order and authorization method before sending the request. Signers can approve only or sign, attach files, and verify by text message where the sender enables it. Senders track status through notifications and send reminders when signatures are outstanding. Templates store a prepared document for reuse, and on Business, bulk send gives each recipient their own copy of the same contract.
Freelancers, small businesses, mid-sized companies and enterprises all use the service. The Professional plan costs €9 per month for one user and includes unlimited documents, a secure audit trail, one team of up to five users, five templates, custom branding and 17 languages. The Business plan costs €15 and adds unlimited teams and users, unlimited templates, bulk sending, custom landing pages, single sign-on and API access. Both plans include a 14-day free trial.
SignRequest positions its pricing around affordability, arguing that low margins across many customers encourage wider adoption of electronic signatures. It also offers direct connections to Google Docs, Gmail, Google Drive, Slack, Zapier, Salesforce, M-Files and TOPdesk, with Formdesk able to send a signing request automatically once a form is completed. The company has joined Box, which it describes as a step toward a broader content cloud for business.
