Suralink review
Bottom line
Suralink is a client document request and review platform built for audit, tax, and advisory engagements. Its clearest strength is the way it ties client requests, uploads, comments, and workpaper review into one tracked workflow. The main cost to watch is that pricing is only available on request, and several capabilities such as Cloud Testing Suite and the add-ons are sold separately. Firms that run many document-heavy engagements and want fewer email chains should evaluate it first.
What is Suralink?
Suralink is a request-to-review platform for accounting firms and their clients. It handles the document collection stage of an engagement, where auditors and tax preparers chase clients for PBC documents, signatures, and supporting files. Firms use it to replace spreadsheets and long email threads with one shared request list that both sides can see and update. The same environment also covers the review stage, with workpapers and financial statement checks.
Day to day, the firm sets up a request list for each engagement and sends it to the client through a secure portal. Clients upload files against each request, and real-time dashboards and notifications show the team what is still outstanding. Team members and clients can pin and tag comments to specific documents or requests, so follow-up questions stay attached to the file they concern. An Excel add-in, Workpaper Suite, lets engagement teams work with files inside their workpapers, and the Financial Statement Tie Out agents check footing, cross-footing, and prior-year consistency. Uploaded documents are encrypted with AES-256, and an audit trail logs activity by username and IP address.
Suralink serves audit, tax, advisory, and internal audit teams at firms of several sizes, along with the clients those firms work with. The platform is delivered through the web, and the company reports more than 1,200 customers. Pricing is provided on request, and a free trial is available. Suralink CORE is the base product, Cloud Testing Suite requires it, and Workpaper Suite, Secure File Sharing, and E-Signature are offered as add-ons.
What sets Suralink apart is that it covers the full request-to-review cycle rather than stopping at file storage. It connects client requests, AI prescreening of uploads, sample testing, and financial statement review in one product. It also offers a REST API with more than 50 endpoints for connecting practice management, planning, and reporting software. Its Excel add-in works inside workpaper software from other vendors, including Caseware and CCH Engagement, without requiring a direct integration.
