Bottom line

Auctria is an event fundraising platform that handles auctions, tickets, donations, and bidding from one event site. Its clearest strength is a free Explorer plan and flat annual licenses with no performance fees. The main cost to watch is the tracked-income tiers, since Explorer stops accepting bids above $10,000 and Emerald caps at $50,000. It suits schools, nonprofits, and community groups running auctions on a predictable budget.

Choose Auctria ifschools and nonprofits running annual galas, or community groups with silent or online auctions.
Look elsewhere ifevents expecting more than 1,000 bidders on one event, or teams needing more than 99 administrators.

What is Auctria?

Auctria is a web-based platform for running fundraising events and auctions, from the first donor record to the final receipt. It covers silent, live, and online auctions, ticket sales, raffles, paddle raises, and sponsorships. Organizations use it to track donors, items, bids, and payments in one place instead of spreadsheets and paper bid sheets. The company says organizations using the platform have raised over $1.75 billion since 2011.

An administrator sets up the organization, adds a few team members, adds donors and items, connects a card processor, and builds an event website. Each event gets its own site, with templates to start from. Bidders can register, bid from a mobile device, or bid on printed paper sheets, and they can text to register. Online bidders receive outbid alerts, can set a maximum bid so the system bids for them up to that limit, and benefit from bid extensions that keep an item open when a bid arrives in the final minute. At the close, staff record final bids and paddle raise donations, then send statements with a payment link.

Nonprofits, schools, and community groups are the core users, though the license is not restricted to nonprofits. The Explorer plan is free for fundraisers expecting under $10,000 in tracked income per year. Emerald costs $375 per year for $10,000 to $50,000 in tracked income, and Diamond costs $750 per year for more than $50,000. Each license lasts 12 months and is not renewed automatically.

What sets Auctria apart is its pricing model. The license is a fixed fee, and the company charges no percentage of what an event raises. Credit card processing is optional, and the company's card fee is added on top of the processor's own fees. Every event receives a dedicated website, and the core features are included at every license level.
