Bottom line

BusyBusy is a GPS-based time clock and job costing app for contractors who still track hours on paper or in spreadsheets. Its clearest strength is that a free plan lets a small crew start clocking in with location data before committing to a paid tier. The main cost to watch is that Pro and Premium are priced per user, so expenses grow with crew size, and Safety pricing is only available on request. Crews that need GPS clock-ins, offline timekeeping, and job-level labor costs in one app should evaluate it first.

Choose BusyBusy ifexcavation, electrical, and concrete contractors, or field crews with paper timecard problems.
Look elsewhere ifoffice-only teams without field employees, or buyers who need public pricing for every tier.

What is BusyBusy?

BusyBusy is a time tracking and job costing app built for construction and other field-based crews. It replaces paper timecards, handwritten hour logs, and manual payroll cleanup with GPS-stamped clock-ins from a phone or tablet. The core problem it addresses is that field hours get rounded, lost, or misreported before they reach the office, which distorts job estimates and payroll.

Day to day, employees clock in and out on the mobile app, switch cost codes, and record breaks from the job site. Location-based reminders prompt them when they arrive at and leave a jobsite, and a Required Onsite setting blocks clock-ins outside project boundaries. Offline mode stores time and location stamps and syncs them once the connection returns. Supervisors can clock in and out an entire crew, and each employee signs the timecard at the end of the period, which locks the card and attaches a date. Photos, documents, daily reports, and budgets are organized by project.

Trades including excavation, electrical, concrete, landscaping, and restoration use the app, and the company lists small, mid-size, and enterprise businesses among its customers. The free plan costs nothing to start. Pro is $9.99 per user per month billed annually, and Premium is $14.99 per user per month billed annually. Safety, which covers OSHA incident forms and related safety records, is priced on request. Billing is based on usage, and the company does not require long-term contracts.

Compared with general time clocks, BusyBusy connects labor hours to job costs, equipment hours, and daily safety sign-offs in one system. It generates OSHA injury and illness forms inside the app so they can be uploaded to OSHA's electronic submission system. Time and job cost data can be exported into QuickBooks or other accounting software. The company has passed 75,000 active contractors using the app daily, as of June 2023.
