My Hours review
Bottom line
My Hours is a time tracker built around billing, budgets and approvals, not just logging hours. Its clearest strength is how much of the billing and payroll workflow sits in one place, from rate setup and invoices to attendance and audit trails. The main cost to watch is the plan split: approval workflows, granular permissions and calculated budgets start at Pro, and mandatory SSO is limited to Enterprise. Teams that bill clients by the hour and need approvals and payroll exports should consider it first.
What is My Hours?
My Hours is a project time tracking platform from Spica International, launched in 2002 and rebuilt in 2015. It lets teams record hours against clients, projects and tasks, then turn that time into invoices, budgets and payroll exports. It addresses the gap between hours worked and hours that are billed, approved or paid correctly, a gap that spreadsheets and manual entry often leave open.
Day to day, people log time in two ways: a spreadsheet-style weekly timesheet or a running timer with a daily timeline. The iOS and Android mobile apps, a desktop app, and a browser extension let them track from anywhere, and reminders prompt daily or weekly entry. Managers review and approve or reject submitted timesheets, lock past periods so logs cannot be edited, and compare hours against targets and budgets. Reports can be downloaded as XLS or PDF, scheduled by email, or sent to clients.
The product is built for freelancers, small businesses, mid-size businesses and enterprises. The Free plan covers up to 5 active users. Basic costs $4 per user per month billed annually or $5 billed monthly, and Pro costs $8 per user per month billed annually or $9 billed monthly, with a 14-day Pro trial that does not require a credit card. Enterprise pricing is custom and aimed at teams with 20 or more users.
What sets it apart is the range of money-related features in one tool. Billing can be hourly, fixed fee or monthly retainer, with labor rates, cost budgets and profit and loss calculation. Expenses can be logged with receipt attachments, and client invoices can be generated from approved work. An attendance report compares target and actual hours, and integrations include Jira two-way sync, Asana, Basecamp, monday, ClickUp, QuickBooks Payroll, Microsoft Teams and Zapier. The company states that its software does not include employee monitoring.
