Bottom line

Restroworks is a cloud platform that runs point of sale, kitchen routing, inventory, online ordering, and reporting for restaurant groups from one hierarchy. Its clearest strength is central control: a price or menu change set at brand level reaches every outlet, with approvals and permissions for exceptions. The main cost to watch is that pricing is not published and requires a quote based on store count, modules, and hardware. It suits multi-location chains and franchise operators rather than a single independent restaurant.

What is Restroworks?

Restroworks is a cloud restaurant management platform that connects front-of-house point of sale, kitchen operations, back-of-house inventory, online ordering, and analytics in one system. It addresses the problem of multi-location operators running separate tools for billing, kitchen tickets, stock, and online orders that do not share data. The company began in 2012 as POSist and now sells the platform under the Restroworks name.

Day to day, staff take counter, table, and online orders through the same point of sale, with handheld POS for billing tables and a customer-facing display for order confirmation. Orders route to kitchen display screens by station, and the Kitchen Production System shows teams what to prep and when. Recipe and inventory management link each sale to its ingredients, so stock usage and waste appear in reports. The Neo middleware collects online orders from delivery and aggregator channels into one dashboard, and menu, price, and availability changes are made once and pushed everywhere. Offline access keeps service running when connectivity drops.

The platform serves multi-unit chains, franchise operators, QSRs, cafes, fine dining, bars, hotels, catering businesses, and cloud kitchens. Its hierarchy organizes brands, formats, clusters, and outlets, so a brand-level price flows to every outlet unless a cluster or outlet overrides it. Pricing is not published. Prospective buyers complete a quote request covering number of stores, modules, and hardware, and a solution specialist follows up with a proposal for that estate.

What sets Restroworks apart is how it layers control across a large estate. Role-based permissions limit what regional and franchise teams can change, and approval workflows route changes through the right reviewers before they go live. Corporate and franchised outlets can run on one platform with separate data and consolidated reporting. Open APIs and a marketplace of more than 500 integrations cover delivery, payments, accounting, and loyalty tools.
