Doodle review
Bottom line
Doodle is a scheduling tool built around group polls that work for anyone with an email address, whether or not they use Doodle or share your calendar system. Its clearest strength is removing the email and spreadsheet back-and-forth from finding a meeting time for groups and outside guests. The main cost to watch is that unlimited polls require a paid Pro plan, and the planned Doodle Time OS features are not yet available. Pick it if you regularly schedule meetings with people across organizations and time zones.
What is Doodle?
Doodle is a web-based scheduling tool for finding a meeting time when several people need to agree on one. The core problem it solves is the slow back-and-forth of email threads, reply chains, and shared spreadsheets, which can stretch a single meeting across weeks. A Doodle poll lets the organizer propose several time slots and share one link with everyone invited.
In daily use, the organizer creates a poll with a title and duration, then picks candidate times or lets Doodle propose ones based on the calendar. Each respondent marks a slot as yes, no, or negotiable, and the poll shows which option the group can actually make. Confirmed times go out as calendar invites with the video link, agenda, and location attached. Group Poll, Booking Page, Sign-up Sheet, and 1:1 availability sharing are available now. Calendar connections include Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Exchange, and Microsoft Teams, along with Zoom, Webex, Slack, Stripe, and Zapier.
Doodle serves freelancers, small businesses, mid-size businesses, and enterprises. Pricing starts at $6.95 per user per month, and a free plan is available. Respondents need no account, login, or matching calendar system to answer a poll, which makes the tool practical for board members, clients, candidates, and other outside participants.
What sets Doodle apart is its focus on coordinating people who do not share a calendar system. Its security page describes SOC 2 Type II, GDPR, and CCPA compliance, along with a Business Associate Agreement for healthcare organizations. Doodle Time OS, a planned suite that adds a day view, team time rules, and round-robin scheduling, is marked as coming soon and is not yet available.
