Bottom line

Ticket Tailor is a per-ticket event ticketing platform with a free tier, direct payments to the organizer, and built-in reserved seating and check-in. Its clearest strength is cost: no contracts or monthly fees, and free events up to 5,000 tickets a year pay nothing. The main cost to watch is the separate payment processor account and its fees, plus an extra credit per reserved seat. It suits small organizers, charities, and venues that want low, predictable fees and do not need an enterprise contract.

Choose Ticket Tailor ifsmall event organizers and first-time ticket sellers, or registered charities and not-for-profits.
Look elsewhere iforganizers who need a native mobile app for ticket buyers, or very large events that need a published enterprise contract.

What is Ticket Tailor?

Ticket Tailor is an online event ticketing platform where organizers build an event page, sell tickets, and check guests in at the door. It is aimed at people who want to sell tickets without a contract, setup fee, or monthly charge, from a first-time community event to a festival selling thousands of tickets. It addresses the cost and friction of ticketing platforms that take a cut of each sale and hold the money until after the event.

Day to day, the organizer creates an event, writes the description, and sets up ticket types. The event page can be built with one of eight themes, customized with fonts, colors, layouts, and imagery, or fully white-labeled. The page can be shared as a link or embedded on an existing website, and checkout works on mobile. Buyers receive tickets by email, as printable PDFs, or as Apple Wallet passes. Organizers can run time-limited discount codes, duplicate events, set up recurring events, open a waitlist when a show sells out, and handle refunds and self-serve order changes. On the day, the free check-in app scans tickets from a phone or an external scanner.

Ticket Tailor serves freelancers, small businesses, charities, venues, festivals, workshops, and conference organizers. Pricing is per ticket. Events with up to 5,000 free tickets per year pay nothing. Paid tickets cost £0.22 each when credits are bought in advance, or £0.60 each on a pay-as-you-go basis, plus VAT. Registered charities receive 50% off fees. Payments run through Stripe, PayPal, or Square, which the organizer connects directly to the platform. Ticket Tailor says it never touches or processes ticket payments, and the processor's fees are charged separately.

What sets it apart is the flat fee model combined with direct payment flow. Ticket revenue moves from the buyer's payment to the organizer's own processor account, so funds don't wait until after the event. Customer data belongs to the organizer, who acts as the data controller, and buyers are not sent promotions for other events. The company is a Certified B Corp and donates one penny of every ticket sold to climate causes through its Penny for the Planet promise. Reserved seating with custom seating charts is included as well, so venues with fixed layouts can sell specific seats.
