Zoho Inventory review
Bottom line
Zoho Inventory is a web-based stock and order management tool for product sellers who work across warehouses and online channels. Its clearest strength is the breadth of its core features, including multi-warehouse tracking, shipping label generation, and marketplace order sync, at the lower paid tiers. The main limitations are order and user caps on each plan, with serial and batch tracking and several other features only available from the Premium plan at $79 per month. Small and midsize sellers that need channel sync, 3PL connections, and Zoho accounting or CRM integration should consider it.
What is Zoho Inventory?
Zoho Inventory is a web-based inventory management application from Zoho for businesses that sell physical products. It tracks stock levels, purchases, and sales orders, and it addresses the problem of keeping counts accurate when inventory is spread across several warehouses and sales channels. Orders from different marketplaces can be fulfilled from the same stock pool.
Day to day, staff create purchase orders, receive stock against them, and record vendor payments. Warehousing features include multi-warehouse management, transfer orders, picklists, and bin locations. Sales orders convert into invoices that can be emailed, while packaging and shipping tools generate packing slips, real-time carrier rates, and shipping labels. Barcode generation and scanning, serial and batch tracking, and low-stock alerts based on reorder points support daily counting. Returns, backorders, and dropshipments are handled from the same records.
The product is aimed at freelancers, small businesses, midsize businesses, and enterprises. A 14-day free trial is offered, after which a forever-free plan is available with 50 orders per month, 1 user, and 1 location. Paid plans are billed per organization per month, annually: Standard at $29 for 500 orders, 3 users, and 2 locations; Premium at $79; Plus at $129; and Enterprise at $249 for 15,000 orders and 10 locations. Customers are not bound by contracts and can upgrade or downgrade at any time.
What sets Zoho Inventory apart is its connection to the rest of the Zoho suite and to outside tools. It syncs with Zoho Books, Zoho CRM, and Zoho Desk, and it connects to Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon, eBay, Walmart, and Etsy. EDI connections through SPS Commerce, Crossfire, and Infocon link the software to 3PL providers. Webhooks and Deluge scripts allow teams to trigger custom actions in other apps, and the Zoho Analytics integration adds reporting with more than 100 prebuilt reports and dashboards.
