Typeform review
Bottom line
Typeform is a form builder that turns questionnaires into conversational experiences and connects the responses to follow-up tools. Its clearest strength is the combination of AI-assisted form creation, logic, and integrations in one product, plus a free plan for getting started. The main cost to watch is that automation and advanced features climb quickly, with Growth Flow at $266 per month and the Contacts & Automations add-on at $25 per month on most paid plans. Marketing, HR, and customer success teams that want branded forms with built-in follow-up should consider it.
What is Typeform?
Typeform is a web-based builder for forms, surveys, quizzes, tests, polls, and landing pages. It is designed for teams that want respondents to finish a questionnaire instead of abandoning it. Rather than presenting a long page of fields, Typeform asks one question at a time in a conversational sequence, with custom branding. Teams use it to capture leads, collect customer feedback, screen job candidates, and manage event registrations.
Day to day, a builder starts from one of more than 3,000 templates or describes the form they need to Creator AI, which drafts questions and applies the brand. Questions can branch, skip, and recall earlier answers, and quizzes can calculate scores and show different endings to different respondents. Forms are shared by link, embed code, or QR code. Responses can be sent to connected tools as they arrive, and the analytics view shows form drop-off, conversion tracking on the Business plan, and topic and sentiment analysis across open-text answers. Respondents can also record video or audio answers.
Marketing, product and UX, HR, and customer success teams all use Typeform, as do freelancers, small businesses, mid-size companies, and enterprises. The Free plan includes unlimited forms, access to the template library, and the ability to start collecting responses. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually: Basic at $28 per month billed annually, Plus at $56, Business at $91, and Talent at $119 for HR and people teams. Growth Flow, the marketing automation tier, costs $266 per month billed annually after a 14-day trial, and Enterprise pricing is custom.
Typeform treats the form as the start of a workflow. The Contacts & Automations add-on builds a contact database with custom properties and triggers emails or actions when a contact changes or on a scheduled date. Growth Flow adds lead enrichment, segmentation, and follow-up across email and SMS. Research Flow runs AI-moderated interviews with a built-in participant panel. The platform also connects to more than 300 apps, so responses can move directly into a CRM, payment tool, or calendar.
