Scoro review
Bottom line
Scoro is a web-based platform that joins project delivery, resource planning, quoting, and billing around one shared data model. Its clearest strength is financial visibility, with real-time project profitability, quoted-versus-actuals reporting, and WIP reporting built in. The main cost to watch is that pricing depends on the apps and add-ons a firm selects, with a five-user minimum and paid extras on top of any combination. Service firms that bill by time and need to track margins across projects should consider it first.
What is Scoro?
Scoro is a professional services automation platform that connects project delivery, resource planning, and financial management in one system. It is built for consultancies, agencies, IT services firms, architecture practices, and engineering and construction firms that need to know which work makes money. The core problem it addresses is data spread across a project tool, a CRM, a time tracker, spreadsheets, and an accounting package, which keeps margins hidden until long after a project has closed.
Day to day, teams log time against tasks and projects, planners assign people through the Planner and check availability indicators, and sales teams track deals in the pipeline before they become projects. Estimating runs through a quote and budget builder with an estimation matrix and built-in margin planning, so a quoted price can be compared against actual results later. Finance staff raise invoices from logged hours, including prepayment invoices, scheduled invoices, recurring billing, and credit notes. Supplier bills and purchase orders are recorded against project budgets, and ELI, the built-in AI assistant, answers questions written in natural language.
Scoro is sold as eight core apps that can be grouped into combinations, so a firm pays for the apps it uses. Combinations start from $17 per user per month, and a 14-day free trial is available with no credit card required and a minimum of five users. The platform is used by small, mid-size, and enterprise businesses and scales from 10 to 500-person, multi-entity organizations. Onboarding ranges from self-onboarding guides to guided data migration and end-user training, with a premier service for firms of more than 50 people.
What sets Scoro apart is that all of its apps share one data model, so time logged in Track flows into Invoice and deals won in Sell become projects in Deliver. It also covers multi-currency and multi-entity operations, quoted-versus-actuals reporting, WIP reporting, and revenue forecasting and recognition, which is financial depth that point solutions often lack. A REST API, webhooks, and a native MCP server let teams connect their data to other systems and AI tools.
